The Merit Badge process for scouts

The process for finding a merit badge counselor is:

• Scout decides to get a merit badge.

• Scout meets with Scoutmaster.

• Scoutmaster issues a "Blue Card" merit badge card.

• Scoutmaster provides scout with contact information for merit badge councelors that handle the badge in question.

• Scout contacts Merit Badge Counselor and makes an appointment.

• Scout completes badge, gets blue card signed and gives card to the Scoutmaster
