Tonight is the big night for the United States Flag Retirement Ceremony being conducted by the Troop and the Knights of Columbus.  All troop members are needed in Class A uniforms to assist with the ceremony.  Set up time begins at 6 PM and the actual event will start at 8 PM.  All are welcome to attend.

 

LIFE TO EAGLE CONFERENCE

SUNDAY 9/27/2015,1 TO 4 PM AT THE MONTGOMERY MEDSTAR UNIT ON PRINCE PHILLIP DRIVE IN OLNEY MD.

All Eagle scout candidates, parents and leaders are encouraged to attend to learn of the various Council and District procedures necessary to successfully complete the process.   

 

SUMMER COURT OF HONOR

THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 7 PM, LYON CENTER, SJB

The Troop gathers four times a year to recognize the achievements of the Scouts at the end of each season.  The summer season has come to an end and the Scouts have been very successful in earning merit badges and advancing in rank.  come and join the troop in this celebration.

 

WEBELOS WEEKEND

FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY OCTOBER 23, 24, 25

Our next campout will be at the annual District Webelos Weekend where the troop will be teaching fire building skills to the Webelos Scouts and conducting the fire building contest.  The permission slip is attached.

MARYLAND FOOTBALL GAME CAMPOUT

On Friday September 18th the troop traveled to the University of Maryland and camped on the softball field overnight in preparation to participate in Sports merit badge activities and to attend the Football game on Saturday.  The weather was great, the scouts worked on the first three requirements of the Sports badge under the guidance of Student athletes from the university, attended the game, Maryland won, got to march around the field at the half and had a great time.
