The Klondike Derby is this weekend! It looks like we might be lucky enough to have some snow for the event. In either case, wheels or runners on the sleds, it will be a fun weekend. It promises to be cold, a little colder than around the Beltway by about 10 degrees.

Lots of ways to stay warm though, layering is the best. We will have two sites E-74 E-76.

Our Plan for departure is to meet at the rear of ST John's by 6 pm, organize the transportation and head for Little Bennett Regional Park.

If you are coming up on Saturday please try to get there by 8:30 when the challenge events start.

Directions.

Rt 270 to Clarksburg exit, get off and go right to the traffic light on Rt355. Turn left on Rt 355 and continue for about 1 mile, the main entrance to the park is on the right. Continue through the park to the E loop, look for sites 74 and 76. If you know some of the back ways you can avoid the traffic on 270.

Parents will be needed to drive scouts to the event and pick them up around 10:30 AM Sunday. If you drop off your son to go,

be prepared to drive.

Scout Sunday 2/2-3/13

If you will not be going on the BroadCreek F/S camp-in please sign up for an activity at the Church to represent the troop. If you are going you can still make the 6 PM service on Sunday.

33rd Annual Broad Creek Father and Son Camp-in 2/1-3/13. This event will challenge the scouts and their Dads to a weekend of competitions, fun and comradery. We are hoping for snow. Plastic Sleds and sno-boards are welcome.
