The Troop has a new Eagle Scout, Ryan Keegan, who passed his Board of Review on Friday 2/10/2017.  Congratulations Ryan.

The Troop has been busy the last 2 weeks, lots going on.

Members of the Troop assisted the ECO-ministry in the cleanup of New Hampshire Avenue from Venice Drive to the White Oak library earning 20 service hours.

Pack 499 Held their annual Blue and Gold Dinner and troop 1441 scout Den Chiefs were a strong presence.

Eagle Project Work Session(s)

The dates so far will be Saturday, February 18th from  9am-11pm (load in), 12pm-4pm(construct), and Sunday, February 19th from 12pm-4pm may or may not happen based on how much work is done on Saturday. 

9am-11am

We will start at my home on Saturday loading components of my project into a van, afterward, scouts will need transportation from my home to the job site at Springbrook HS in the lower parking lot near the fields. 

12pm-4pm

Well, be constructing the main body of the shelving unit. 

Scouts will need to dress accordingly for the weather and it is suggested to bring work gloves, water bottle, and working boots.

NIck has scheduled Saturday march 11th from 1 to 3 pm as a work session for his project.  Please contact him if you can help.

Life to Eagle Conference, Sunday March 12, 2017.

All Life Scouts, Leaders and parents are invited to attend.  Class A event.  Maryland Medstar Unit, Olney MD.  1 PM until 4 PM.  to register send e-mail to Whiteoakadv@aol.com.

Eagle Scout Oliver Wolcott will be recognized at a Court of Honor on March 18th in the Lyon Center from 3 to 4 PM.  All are invited to attend. 

BROADCREEK FATHER/SON CAMP-IN MARCH 24 - 26

The Troop is conducting its 37th annual Camp-in at the Broad Creek Scout Reservation, Prospect , Maryland.  There will Be scouting challenges for both Scouts and Dads.

TROOP SERVICE PROJECT - STOP HUNGER NOW - APRIL 1, 2017

Colesville Presbyterian Church is conducting a meal packing service project from 7:30 Am until noon on Saturday April 1.  we have assisted each year and will do so again this year.  It is a Class A event.  More to come.

DISTRICT CAMPOREE, APRIL 28 - 30 CAMP BENNETT BROOKEVILLE, MD

SUMMER CAMP, CAMP OLMSTED, GOSHEN SCOUT CAMPS registration is now open for the week of July 9 through the 15th.  Fee per Scout $300.  More to come.

Seabase 2017 Airfare payments due.

Northern Tier 2018 $100 Deposit due.
