This is Camporee Weekend at Greenbelt National Park and wouldn't you know it, it will rain on Friday evening when we go out to set up.  So, what else is new?  We can handle it, this past Klondike Derby gave us the opportunity to train in real circumstances.  Remember, you need to be prepared for the rain, hats, boots ponchos.

This year each Patrol will have its own independent site with their own equipment.  Each Patrol will be competing as a separate unit against all of the other patrols in the District  They will travel from challenge site to challenge site doing their best to score the highest.  The Leaders, well, we will be around in our own campsite, enjoying the Park and chillin',  yeah, right.

We will meet at the SJB parking lot in uniform, with all of our necessary gear.  Don't forget anything, as you may have to got home to get it.  A Scout is Prepared.

We will return from Greenbelt at !! AM Sunday Morning.

Parents are needed to drive the Scouts to and from the Campsite.

Each Patrol has prepared its own menu and hopefully done the shopping.

A Permission Slip is attached.

PHILMONT HIGH ADVENTURE TREK PREPARATION.

In order to insure a successful trip a number of training events have been scheduled.  it is very important that both adults and scouts attend these events to train, assess your readiness and ability to  participate.  It would be detrimental to the crews if one or more individuals could not cope with the situations that might arise.  Compatibility is critical if you are out on the trail as a group for 9 or 10 days.  The Scout Law is the guide we follow.
