Lots of good news to report this week

The Troop has two new Eagle Scouts as of last Friday, Johan Vandegriff and Oliver W.  Both passed their boards of review with Flying Colors.  Congratulations guys, great Job.!!   This makes 4 this year so far, more coming!

The Boonsboro Campout was a great success.  The weather was fine, cool, warm in the sun, lots of good food and fun.  On Saturday four Webelos Scouts and their parents from Pack 499 spent the day with us working as part of the patrols and learning scout skills.  Had a roaring campfire Saturday night, needed to ward off the chill creeping into the valley,  frost everywhere in the morning including inside the tents, Polar bear credits to the campers.   There was no Blue Fog.

The first SEABASE Planning Meeting on Tuesday 11/15th was very well attended.  Assistant Scoutmaster Bill Kassman has volunteered to  manage the effort  and has arranged for three crews to go from August 3rd through August 11th on the Coral Reef Sailing Adventure  The three crews, each consisting of 6 scouts and 2 Leaders will each have their own boat..  We currently have space for 2 more scouts and 1 adult to fill out the three crews.  A $100 non refundable deposit is need NOW, tomorrow at the troop meeting.  One half of the Fee ( full fee is $856) is due December 1st.

Transportation and other travel fees are separate and are in the process of being developed.   Much more to come.

Troop Rechartering.

The Troop is in the process of its annual Re-chartering and dues are due now,  $25 for each registered Adult and $85 for the first scout in the family, $73 for the second and downward.

All registered leaders should check their Youth Protection Training date to insure that they are current and if not tape the course on line.(VERY IMPORTANT)

GCCA Mini Parks Service Project

We were unable to get scout or leader volunteers from the troop to assist the GCCA and that was not a good thing.  We will have to make it up to them next time.

No meeting next Week THANKSGIVING!!!
