Webelos Weekend Campout

Sixteen Scouts and 4 Leaders participated in the  White Oak District Webelos Weekend this past Friday through Sunday.  This event is scheduled annually in the fall to provide an opportunity for Webelos Scouts to see what Boy Scouting is like and begin our recruiting process.  Our Scouts did a great job of running the Fire Building Teaching site  and the Fire building Contest.

Costume party, Roses and Thorns, Webelos Weekend, BOR's

Service Project - GCCA Mini Park Mulching.  Saturday 10/31 9AM until noon

As part of our ongoing commitment to the Greater Colesville Civic Association to assist them with the maintenance of their street corner parks, we have been asked to help with the fall mulching this Saturday.  Bring work gloves, Parents are welcome too.  We will meet at the parking lot behind the Giant gas station on New Hampshire Avenue.

We are hosting the Webelos II's From Pack 499. Campout preparation. 

Service Project - Stop Hunger Now,  Saturday 11/7 8 AM until noon.

The Troop will be assisting Colesville Presbyterian Church with the packing of 22,000 meals destined for poor schools In Africa.  This will be our fifth time participating.  It is a class "A" event.

Parents and siblings are invited.   Earn Service Hours.  Meet behind CPC on New Hampshire Avenue.

Scouting for Food service project  11/7.  

Scouts in the troop will be distributing plastic bags for the collection of food donations in  their neighborhoods.  They will return to pick up  the donations the following Friday/Saturday.

Campout preparation.

Campout -Thomas Point - Annapolis, Saturday 11/14 thru Sunday 11/15

The Troop will be camping in Thomas Point Park with opportunities for fishing, rank advancement and leadership practice.  Reservations are limited, so turn in your permission slip to reserve a space. Permission Slip attached.
