The annual Troop Mulch Sale for the benefit of the Scouts participating in this year's high Adventure Program to Philmont Scout Reservation is taking place this Saturday April 9th in the SJB parking lot.  Scouts have been taking pre-sale orders and we expect drive up sales throughout the day.  A lot of help is needed to make the day go smoothly and there is an on-line sign-up sheet for you to volunteer some time to help.  Scouts, leaders, parents and family members can all assist.  to sign up use the following link,   www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10c0a4ba9ab2ba5fc1-troop1  .In order for scouts going on the Trek receive  assistance from the sale they must work on the sale.

District Roundtable Wednesday April 13th, 7:30 PM Peoples Community Baptist Church, Norwood Road

The Winter Court of Honor will take place at the Troop meeting on Thursday April 14th.  Scouts will be receiving recognition for the advancement effort they have put in over the Winter.  This is an opportunity for the Families of the troop to get together and celebrate the scouts achievements.  Families are welcome to bring snacks and desserts to share.  As a special guest we will have our District Executive present to discuss the Importance of supporting the Scouting program, so bring your checkbooks and lets have 100% participation.  Scouts, please send me an e-mail containing the awards and recognitions you expect to receive.

Troop Meeting Thursday April 21st, preparations for the District Camporee.

District Camporee, Greenbelt State park, April 22 - 24th

The Troop is participating on the Camporee.  The Theme is Patrol Unity and action.  Patrols will camp and compete as independent units against other troop patrols in the District.  The Adult leaders will operate one of the challenge sites for the event.  Patrol leaders should be training their patrols now.  Permission slip attached.
