Can't believe it's April already, the year is going by fast. Before you know it, it will be time for summer Camp and the Philmont High Adventure Trek. There is a lot to accomplish before we reach those dates this summer. The month of April's schedule has been shaken up and this is what it looks like now.
April 6th Community Sunday at SJB, scouts and leaders are needed to show the colors after the Masses. Signups will take place at this Thursdays meeting.
April 6-7 Philmont preparatory hike.
April 11th Winter Court of Honor. Scout volunteers needed to run Program.
April 13th MULCH SALE
April 20 -21 Campout and Philmont prep hike
April 26-28 DISTRICT CAMPOREE.
We missed a campout in March and need to begin our training of the new scouts before they go to the Camporee. That's two weekends in a row of camping but it is necessary to get back on our schedule and get the scouts ready for summer camp.
Summer Camp payments - The full payment is due April 25th if you wish to take advantage of the discount. The full fee is $290 plus bus fare of $42, total $332. Minus $50 if you participated in the Hat Special, leaving a total of $282 to be paid. The fee goes up to $330 plus bus after April 26th.
We got off to a late start with this year's mulch sale and are looking at the 13th of April to do it. We will be trying to do advanced sales so we will have a training session at this Thursday's meeting. Details on a separate flyer.
