November is almost half over already and the Holiday season is upon us.  There is a lot of Eagle advancement activity going on in the troop and hopefully we will have some Eagles before the end of the year.

Our December Schedule has some changes, check below.

CAMP CONE CAMPOUT

This was our first campout held at Camp Cone, part of the Gunpowder Falls State Park, and it worked out very well.  The area is set up for youth group camping and is in excellent shape.  The only challenge is that the water supplied is non potable and has to be boiled before use.  We brought our own water from home.  The scouts did very well with their patrol cooking and Mrs Gamarro provided fantastic home made Tacos as a treat.  Had some good stories around the campfire and a number of scouts worked on advancement.  Well worth going back to.

SERVICE PROJECT - SJB ECO-MINISTRY, NEW HAMPSHIRE CLEANUP

SATURDAY 11/15 FROM 8:45 UNTIL NOON.

The troop will be assisting the Eco Ministry in the clean up of New Hampshire Avenue between Venice Drive and the White Oak Library.  Volunteers are to meet in front of the Church at 8:45 AM , Bring a water bottle, hat and gloves, It is a Class "A" event as the chance of getting dirty is minimal and it would be good for passers-by to see Scouts in action.  Scout, Leader and parent volunteers are needed.

HOLIDAY PARTY  Dec 16th 7 PM

The troop will hold in its long standing Holiday Tradition of  decorating our "Charlie Brown" Christmas Tree  with an ornament supplied by each scout and leader.

The ornament should have some special meaning to the scout and he will be asked to tell the group about it when he places it on the tree. The resulting significance is the awareness of the Brotherhood of Man, we are all one.

We will follow up with refreshments and socializing.
