REMINDER - THERE IS NO TROOP MEETING THIS WEEK.

 

TROOP LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The troop's TLC, comprised of scouts holding leadership positions, will have its first meeting on Tuesday Sept 8th  at 7:30 PM at the Lyon Center.  Mandatory for all scouts who hold any leadership position. Other scouts are welcome.

 

FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY WITH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS.

The Troop is preparing to hold a flag retirement ceremony in conjunction with the K of C at the Lyon Center on Thursday 9/24 at 8 PM.  We will be receiving US flags to be prepared for retirement at the troop meeting on Thursday 9/10.  Scouts and Knights will participate jointly in the Ceremony on the 24th.

 

MARYLAND UNIVERSITY CAMPOUT  SEPTEMBER 18-19

The troop will be participating in the University of Maryland's Sports Merit badge  and  Football game program .  We will meet at the Softball stadium on the campus on Friday evening, camp overnight and attend Sports classes on Saturday morning and the football game on Saturday at noon.

The Permission Slip is attached.

Have dinner before you come on Friday evening.  We will have snacks.

Breakfast will be served on Saturday morning.  We will have sandwiches for lunch or food can be purchased at the concession stands,  We will return home after the game. 

 

LIFE SCOUT TO EAGLE CONFERENCE (L2E)

The White Oak District is conducting a L2E conference on Sunday September 27th from 1 PM until 4 PM at the Montgomery Medstar unit in Olney Maryland.  This is for Life Scouts, soon to be life scouts , leaders and parents.  Class A event.

SUMMER COURT OF HONOR  -  OCTOBER 8TH 7 PM

The Troop will be conducting its Summer Court of Honor where the Scouts will be recognized for their achievements since June.  Parents, families and friends are invited to attend.  Bring a snack to share.

 

WEBELOS WEEKEND   OCTOBER 23-24-25

The Troop will be participating in the White Oak District Webelos Weekend.  We intent to teach fire building as we have in the past.  More to Follow.

 

EAGLE PROJECTS

Drew's Eagle project is progressing nicely as you may have seen in the circle in front of the Church.  There will be a work session this Saturday.at 2 PM.  Help is needed.

Johan is about to begin work on his project, stay tuned for announcements.

 

TROOP MEETING OCTOBER 27TH

It's Costume Night if you are so inclined.  Prizes will be given.
